OverviewA thesis responding to elderly residents left behind in rural China. Set near Huzhou in the water-rich Jiangnan region, the proposal brings community life and light-care functions together in a linear form for living, communicating and moving through the landscape.
Thesis 07: CultureUrban migration has left many elderly residents in rural China with limited material support, care and companionship. The thesis proposes a shared facility on the outskirts of Huzhou, in Zhejiang's water-rich Jiangnan region.
